What is cosmetic acupuncture?
Cosmetic acupuncture is a natural, safe and effective technique to improve skin health and fight the aging process. It combines traditional Chinese acupuncture with specialized facial acupuncture to help you look and feel healthy and rejuvenated. It is the truest form of anti-aging medicine because it works internally to optimize your health while simultaneously enhancing the appearance of your skin. How does cosmetic acupuncture work?
Cosmetic acupuncture works by creating micro-traumas where the needles are inserted into the skin. The skin then sends in all the collagen-building and repair cells to repair the ‘trauma.’ So by strategically placing the needles into areas where there is collagen loss, you can trigger the production of more collagen and increase circulation to the area. From a traditional Chinese medicine viewpoint, this procedure tonifies and lifts qi and nourishes yin, essence, and blood.

How many sessions are needed?

People in their forties, fifties and older can use acupuncture to erase 5-15 years of aging.
People wanting to look their best for a special event, and therefore only needing 1 or 2 treatments.
Who should not receive cosmetic acupuncture?
Cosmetic acupuncture is not recommended for women who are pregnant or patients with chronic headaches or high blood pressure.
Can i receive cosmetic acupuncture if i have had botox or cosmetic surgery?
Cosmetic acupuncture will maintain the effectiveness of botox but has to be done away from the botox treatments. Together they can work to reduce the amount of botox injections per year. Cosmetic acupuncture should not be given within 6 months of cosmetic surgery.
